Reward of up to £5,000 for information on mugging of 92-year-old woman in Hoxton


We are today offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Sanchez Edwards in connection with the mugging of a 92-year-old woman in Hoxton

The incident occurred on Tuesday June 27th when the 92-year-old woman was attacked from behind and mugged as she entered the grounds of the Lawson Medical Centre, with the alleged attacker making attempts to grab her handbag.

Sanchez Edwards, who is a patient with schizophrenia at the medium-security John Howard Centre in Hackney, is wanted for questioning in connection with this attack. He failed to return from unescorted leave from the centre on 17 May 2017.

Edwards is described as a black male, 5ft 9ins, with short black hair, medium build with a black beard.

The terrified victim suffered cracked ribs and severe bruising on her legs, and has been left feeling incredibly vulnerable as a result of this attack.

We are now appealing for help from the public by offering a reward of up to £5,000 that leads to the arrest of Edwards.*
