FRIDAY 7TH JULY 2017
We are today offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Sanchez Edwards in connection with the mugging of a 92-year-old woman in Hoxton
The incident occurred on Tuesday June 27th when the 92-year-old woman was attacked from behind and mugged as she entered the grounds of the Lawson Medical Centre, with the alleged attacker making attempts to grab her handbag.
Sanchez Edwards, who is a patient with schizophrenia at the medium-security John Howard Centre in Hackney, is wanted for questioning in connection with this attack. He failed to return from unescorted leave from the centre on 17 May 2017.
Edwards is described as a black male, 5ft 9ins, with short black hair, medium build with a black beard.
The terrified victim suffered cracked ribs and severe bruising on her legs, and has been left feeling incredibly vulnerable as a result of this attack.

Roger Critchell, Director of Operations for Crimestoppers, said: “A vulnerable older woman has been through a terrifying ordeal and has suffered some awful injuries as a result of this attack.
“We are offering this reward to anyone who can give information to us that leads to Edwards’ arrest, for the good of the public’s safety.
“I promise that anyone who contacts us, will never have to give their personal details, will never have to speak to the police, or have to go to court. You remain anonymous throughout your contact with us, that I can guarantee.”
If you have any information, please contact us anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our Anonymous Online Form.
