Reward of up to £5,000 offered for information on aggravated burglary in Basildon

We are today offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information passed through our 0800 555 111 number or online form, that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for an aggravated burglary in Basildon, Essex.

Punched in the mouth

The woman, aged in her 50s, was punched in the mouth by an intruder and then shot in the eye with a BB gun as she came out of her bathroom at around 8am on Wednesday 29th July.   

We are now offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information given to the charity via their 0800 555 111 telephone number or online that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. This case is also due to be featured on the BBC Crimewatch programme later today.

Someone knows who did this

Antonia Litten, Eastern Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “There are people out there who know who did this and I would urge you to contact Crimestoppers.

“It is extremely important that this person is brought to justice to ensure that they cannot strike again. This lady has been left permanently blind in one eye, a life-changing injury that requires continued surgeries.

“We don’t take personal details and we can’t trace information given online or on the phone. We don’t want to know who you are, just what you know.”
