Essex Crimestoppers receive donation from Essex & Suffolk Water

Essex & Suffolk Water has given crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers a cash boost as it celebrates a milestone anniversary in the county.

The water supply company has donated £500 to Essex Crimestoppers to help the independent charity promote its 25th anniversary this year and to promote the charity’s work of helping to keep communities safer.

Gary Banks, from Essex & Suffolk Water, is a non-executive director of Crimestoppers and said: “It is great that the water
company can help to support Crimestoppers in Essex with this financial donation. I have been involved with the organisations for more than seven years and have seen the important work Crimestoppers can do and the benefits it can return to a business like Essex & Suffolk Water.

“Working in partnership with Crimestoppers and my employer, Essex & Suffolk Water, has allowed me to help develop important strategies to reduce metal thefts and this has shown results for the wider community,” he said.

Crimestoppers operates a national 24/7 telephone number 0800 555 111 and through our website using our Anonymous Online Form where anyone can give information anonymously about crime.  Callers don't have to give their name or any personal information and calls cannot be traced.

“This donation from Essex & Suffolk Water will help ensure that communities across Essex are safer by helping to promote the charity’s message that Crimestoppers is an anonymous route to pass on information about crime.”
