Lincolnshire committee says thanks to the community
Crimestoppers’ Lincolnshire committee held an event earlier this month to say ‘thank you’ to the community of Boston for their positive response to a recent campaign in the summer.
Crimestoppers Regional Manager for the East Midlands, Kiran Dhanda, was present at the showcase event on September 8th to acknowledge the response of a recent campaign that appealed to the local community to come forward with information on crime in their area.
As a result of the appeal, calls in July went up by 25 per cent regarding incidents in the county on the previous month, which highlights the trust the local community has in the crime-fighting charity.
Kiran Dhanda was quick to praise the support of the local people, stating that they themselves can play the role of crime-fighter.
She said: “The response by the people of Boston and Lincolnshire as a whole has been overwhelming, so I would personally like to thank them all for their calls and trust they are showing in Crimestoppers.
“You can be a crimestopper by helping to keep your community safe. All you have to do is call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through our Anonymous Online Form.”
