Reward offered for information on violent robbery of Aldridge couple

We're offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for the violent robbery of a couple in Aldridge, Walsall.

The attack on a 78-year-old male and 66-year-old female took place in Bourne Vale on Saturday 24th November at around 7.30pm, when two masked men broke into the couple’s home and demanded they hand over jewellery and cash.

This assault resulted in the female having a large cut to her head and a bleed to the brain. She also suffered extensive wounds to one of her hands, which has required a seven hour operation, with her injuries described as life changing.

The male victim suffered a large cut to his head requiring stiches, a fractured skull and a defensive hand injury, again requiring an extensive operation

We are offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the two men responsible for this attack.

“When I heard about the attack and robbery of this couple, I was left absolutely horrified by the details of the ordeal they went through.

“I cannot begin to imagine how scared they were, and it’s awful to think this happened in their own home – the one place they should be able to feel safe.

“This is why I am asking the local community to come forward with any information they might have on the men responsible, to ensure we keep local people safe and ensure nobody else is hurt.
